THE CPR THAT WORKED

I struggled to inject the drug. I had tears dripping down my face, my hands shaking.

I was no longer a distinction student, but was I happy? Yes. Yes, I was.

I raised my head to the sound of “pens up.”

I was enjoying cosplaying as a doctor, until we heard a scream from one of the rooms at the A and E.

I had slept through the very thing I stayed up all night preparing for.

One thing that struck me very clearly was the way the doctors had cleared out of the scene very quickly.

I learned that determination and consistency often matter more than brilliance.

What is it like studying in Nigeria while living with a disability or chronic illness?

I haven’t been stigmatised because I rarely tell or show that I’m sick.

I used to be a basketball player, but I stopped because I’m easily fatigued.
