CLICK HERE FOR A QUICK GUIDE

1. Choose how you want to input your data: When you open the app, you’ll see two options: “Numbers” or “Frequency.” Pick the one that matches the data you have.

  • Use Numbers when you already have a list of words and a number for each word. For example, you might have “Love 30, Peace 25, Joy 20.”
  • Use Frequency when you only have a block of text. The app will count how many times each word appears and turn that into a word cloud automatically.

2. Add your data: After you choose an input mode, the editor will appear. You can:

  • Paste your text or numbers directly into the editor.
  • Upload a file instead by clicking the upload option above the editor.

For the Numbers mode, type or paste one word and number per line, like this:

Love 30
Peace 25
Joy 20

For the Frequency mode, just paste normal sentences or paragraphs. The app will do the counting for you.

3. Edit your words and weights in the table: Click the table view to see your words listed clearly. Each row shows a word and its weight. You can:

  • Add new words.
  • Remove words you don’t want.
  • Change the weight of any word.
  • Change the colour dot for a word.
  • Drag rows to reorder them.

In Frequency mode, the table ranks words automatically from most common to least common. The first page shows the top 50 words. Use the pagination buttons to see more.

4. Customise the look of your word cloud: Use the sidebar to change how the cloud looks. You can:

  • Pick a different font.
  • Change the colour theme.
  • Choose a layout style.
  • Select a shape for the cloud.
  • Adjust spacing and other visual settings.

The artboard updates as you make changes, so you can see the result right away.

5. Download your word cloud: When you’re happy with the design, click the download button to save it as an image file.

Quick tips

  • If something looks wrong in the cloud, check the table. The most common mistake is a typo or a weight that is too small.
  • In Frequency mode, common words like “the,” “and,” and “is” may appear often. You can remove them in the table.
  • Try different layouts and shapes until you find one that fits your message.
